The Colorado Rogues and Mid-Air Adventures join forces to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation on April 2nd  in Thornton, CO.

Avast me hearties! On April 2, 2011, Mid-Air Adventures and the Colorado Rogues will host their 2nd annual charity event to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Swashes will be buckled, booty will be plundered, and adventure will be had for pirates of all ages!

This family-friendly charity event will be held at Mid-Air Adventures, located at 9499 Washington St. in Thornton, CO. From 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, kids of all ages will be able to enjoy food, crafts, treasure hunts, DJs, pirate sing-alongs, and all the adventures available at Mid Air Adventures – including jungle rope swings, a rock-climbing wall, and the longest indoor zip-lines in the United States.

Admission to the event is available at four different rates. For $10, anyone is welcome to attend and enjoy the food, music, and auctions. But for $15, patrons can enjoy 10 plays on the zip lines, jungle swing, and/or the climbing wall, in addition the food, music, and auctions. For $23, patrons will receive 20 plays, and for $30 they will receive 30 plays. There is also a Family Plan available: for $90, a family of up to 6 receives 100 shared plays, as well as the food, music and fun.

One hundred percent of the event’s donations, balloon pop, and silent auction proceeds, as well as a portion of the ticket sales, will go towards the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which focuses in finding a cure for Type 1 diabetes and its complications in children.

The Colorado Rogues is a non-profit organization of reenactors, history buffs and renaissance festival aficionados with an interest in the Golden Age of Sail. Using reenactment as a backdrop, the Colorado Rogues regularly contribute to the community through a variety of charitable events and volunteerism. In 2008, the Colorado Rogues were recognized by Westword Magazine as the Best Pirates in Denver.

Even if you and your friends and family cannot attend the event personally, you can still help support our cause by visiting our Team JDRF page and making your donation there.
