Biography

Born the only child to a couple of landlubbers, Onyx has always had a curious and adventurous nature. For as long as she can remember, she has been interested in people watching and trying new things. This sometimes got her into trouble with authority figures...but what else would you expect from a hyper, red-headed, Gemini female?

Despite being born in a land-locked city, she quickly developed a love for water: swimming lessons in preschool, her first boat ride at six, her parents purchasing a boat when she was ten, and week long vacations to Lake Powell. She also became interested in all things Pirate and was blamed by her cousin, Princess Suzi, for "corrupting" her younger cousin Dillon into Pirate-like behavior (which she still thinks is hilarious!).

In later years, she met and became friends with various members of the Burke Family and was eventually invited to join their ship, La Petit Mort, as the Family Therapist. (Trust me, they needed one!!) During this time she experimented with several aliases such as Crimson Rose, Pirate Jane, and Lady Christina (again, gotta blame the Gemini). Sadly, despite everyone's best attempts, various issues pushed the family apart and members drifted their separate ways.

Onyx then spent the next few years focusing on her other loves- calligraphy, photography, and jewelry making. It was her new love of jewelry making that inspired her to take the name Onyx. During this time, a fellow member from La Petit Mort introduced her to members of The House. Although she enjoyed being with her new friends, she was reluctant to join a new ship at first. However, as she got to know her new friends better, Onyx started to give serious thought to the idea. When the members all told her how much they wanted her as a part of their crew, she knew she could resist no longer and was offically accepted.
