Biography

OJ retired from the Crimson Storm with the rank of Lookout Emeritus in April of 2010

Some call me OJ, others know me by Eagle Eye John McCraddy, I sit up here in the bird’s nest of The Crimson Storm. Officially my title is that of Lookout and that suits me just fine. I like the solitude of the crow’s nest and often come here to think. How did I come to be here you ask? Like any other tragedy, my story all begins with the betrayal of a dame. Some know her as “Lady Luck”.

Me, I have other names for that fickle wench!

I have always been a sucker for a pretty gal, I learned at a very young age the exhilaration of games of chance. You see I became a broker of sorts, a bookie, a card shark, a master of craps, and of deception. The streets were mine. I owned them. If someone wanted to get lucky... they came to see OJ. And for a small percentage of the action, I would let them make money for me. I had it all in those days. Then came that fateful day. This Madam came to me and made me a proposition. She planned to open a house, and wanted me to “work the door for her”. I thought “Hey it is centrally located, we have a lot of the same clientele, and it would keep me in the know. While I was gone, I had a man that was going to take care of the day to day. Little did I know he had his own plans? Double crossing.. good for nothing, one night after the Madam closed down for the night I sensed someone creeping around. My good for nothing partner had hired someone to ice me!!!

Well he underestimated whom he was up against. Never send a boy to do a man’s job.

I moved the body down to the cellar and knew it was time to go. Too bad this really was a cake job and the scenery wasn’t all that bad either. I knew where the Madam had her Bribe money stashed and decided I needed it more then she did. I packed light and headed out that night. I blended in down at the docks until I met some drunken sailors, they were heading out to sea it seemed, just when I thought Lady luck had done me wrong. I started to creep my way aboard when I heard a very calm voice behind me say, “You looking for a job?”

I turned to find Captain Morgan starring at me as though he knew all along what I was planning. I didn’t say a word. He looked at me again and said, “We have need of a lookout. Think you can do the job?"

“Yes, sir.” I replied.

"Welcome aboard…????"

"OJ, sir. You can call me OJ."
